Providing mission-critical application maintenance for a fortune 500 truck manufacturer

An $8B manufacturer of service trucks, school buses, and replacement parts was looking for ways to more cost-effectively manage its Baan maintenance. The client chose Trigent to augment its Baan maintenance activities, providing customization, enhancement, maintenance, and upgrade services for various components within the Manufacturing, Financial and Distribution modules of Baan IVc4 center.

By leveraging Trigent's ISO 9000 certified quality process for maintenance and development and by effectively employing time zone differences in working with Trigent's offshore development team, the client could stretch a tight IT operating budget, with development costs averaging almost half that of contract or internal staff. The company could also reduce costs associated with training staff in maintaining the Baan system and free internal resources for other strategic initiatives.
