Trigent Participates in Expert Panel on Managing Software Outsourcing
Trigent, a provider of software services and solutions for enterprise and commercial software clients, will participate in TiE-Boston's Outsourcing Workshop to be held on Saturday, November 6 at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts.
TiE-Boston is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to foster and support entrepreneurship. The event, co-sponsored by TiE Boston's Software and Services Business Forum, TiE Institute and Bentley College, offers hands-on, practical takeaways for small- and medium-sized companies considering software outsourcing.
"Companies both large and small have been forced to evaluate outsourcing benefits and trade-offs as global competition forces them to lower cost, improve quality and focus on their core competencies,"said Gautam Prakash, President, TiE-Boston. "This conference is designed to help business executives cut through the hype and figure out the appropriate approach for their enterprise."
Trigent CTO Chuck Rehberg will participate in the 2pm workshop session focusing on practical considerations in managing an offshore project. He will draw on his experience in producing commercial software products and managing the development of custom business applications with both local and offshore development teams.
"Small and mid-sized organizations have a different set of concerns than large enterprises when they consider outsourcing software development,"said Rehberg. "However, if they approach the process knowledgeably and choose the right partner, they can reap great business benefits. We′re pleased to be able to offer these organizations a practical perspective on managing the outsourcing process."
Trigent will also have an exhibit at the Vendor Showcase, which will conclude the conference.
