mSports develops and markets interactive sports applications for mobile devices. The company partnered with Trigent to create mSports Baseball, the first application in its suite.
Trigent created the application server technology behind mSports, which collates and stores content from providers, such as SportsTicker, and distributes it through an XML interface to any mobile device running an mSports application. Subscribers can access play-by-play information for ongoing and past games as well as game schedules and specific team and player information.
Initially distributed through Nextel on the Motorola color phone, the server technology was designed to support a variety of mobile devices and enables mSports to easily add applications and expand its services to new distribution partners.
