Migrating HR management software to the .NET platform
A provider of HR management solutions offers a Web-based application suite used in hundreds of customer locations. To enhance interoperability and performance, the company wanted to migrate several core application modules to the Microsoft .NET platform.
Because the application employed Microsoft Active Server Page (ASP) technology as well as mainframe technology (where the business logic resided), the client took a "co-existence" approach to the migration.
Trigent migrated the presentation tiers of each application module, allowing the client to rapidly leverage the benefits of .NET without changing the existing businesses logic. The application's interoperability was greatly enhanced. It is now positioned to utilize Web services and to leverage future benefits of .NET in upcoming releases.
