Senior Linux Admin [Job ID:trsla-04769]

We are looking for a Senior Linux Admin with 6 to 8 years out of which at least 2 to 3 years the candidate should have worked on areas involving migrating on-premises Linux servers to either AWS or Azure along with related storage elements, e-mail alerts backups and recovery.

Essential skills
— Cloud based Skills – Target Platform: AWS/Azure
  • Implementing and supporting of cloud based infrastructure.
  • Experience in creating VPC's, public, private subnets.
  • Hardening of Linux infrastructure on AWS/Azure.
  • Use security groups, network ACL's, internet gateways and route tables to establish secure zones.
  • Create and configure load balancers and auto scaling groups to distribute the traffic.
  • Experience in user management using IAM and MFA to provide additional security to user accounts and its resources.
  • Experiencing in implementing S2S and P2S VPN.
  • Good knowledge in implementing backup solutions in the cloud.
  • Installing, upgrading, patch management.
  • Cloud monitoring.
  • Good knowledge in implementing best practices in cloud security.
  • Exposure to Serverless Infrastructure.
— System Administration skills – On Premises
  • Proficiency in CentOS and Ubuntu under the following areas.
    • Upgrading, monitoring and hardening of Linux OS and applications.
    • Linux server Security and Kernel performance tuning.
    • Server Log analysis and correlation.
    • Upgrading Linux applications to higher stable versions.
  • Good Application skills in the following Web and Middleware technologies.
    • Apache, Nginx, Tomcat and JBoss.
  • Installation, configuration and administration of Linux services like.
    • SVN, GIT, Patch Management.
    • LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL and PHP) stack.
    • NFS, SSH.
    • Nagios, Cacti and MRTG for monitoring Infrastructure elements.
  • Exposure to automate mundane system administration tasks such as backups, slip streaming of patches.
  • Good working knowledge on virtualized Infrastructure in the following areas.
    • Secure resurrection.
    • Backups and test restore.
    • Crash recovery with set RPO and RTO.
  • Server Optimization: Exposure to host multiple LAMP stack application on single Infrastructure.
  • Server Security for File, Application and Database servers.
