One of Only 125 Software Development Organizations Worldwide Assessed at CMM Level 4
Trigent, a provider of software services and solutions for enterprise and ISV clients, announced that it has been independently assessed by KPMG against the Capability Maturity Model for Software (CMM or SW-CMM) and has been rated at CMM Level 4. It is currently one of approximately 125 software development organizations worldwide that have been assessed at CMM Level 4.

The CMM is a process capability model developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI). It provides an approach for defining, documenting, and measuring the maturity of processes used in software organizations, and for identifying the key practices required to increase the maturity of these processes to improve long-term business performance. The CMM includes five levels, of which Level 5 is the highest.
An SEI-certified independent assessor from KPMG conducted the CMM assessment of Trigent's India Development Center in Bangalore. The facility is responsible for development, maintenance and testing of custom business applications and commercial software products for Trigent clients, as well as for development of the company's own software products. The achievement of CMM Level 4 assessment signifies that the organization has a well defined and managed process for software development and for achieving ongoing quality improvements.
