Trigent effortlessly moved our business-critical workload to Microsoft Azure, which significantly improved application performance and business agility.
The client, a real estate investment trust (REIT) headquartered in N.Y. is one of North America’s publicly traded owners and operators of open-air, grocery-anchored shopping centers, and mixed-use assets. The company has specialized in shopping center acquisitions, development, and management for the last few decades.
The client had a legacy solution that was the backbone of its business operations. The business-critical applications, including lease management systems used by sales, operations, and other departments, were run on a private data center. The legacy solution presented many security risks as well. Additionally, much of the maintenance activities were manual.
The client needed a solution/setup that would meet the projected growth in the business & users.
The client partnered with Trigent to augment their IT infrastructure. The Trigent team carried out a thorough assessment of the client’s data center infrastructure to understand the applications, different operating systems, security considerations, and processor & memory utilization. Trigent designed new security models and cloud-native backup recovery processes. Trigent also assisted the client in designing an effective migration strategy that rehosted (lift-and-shift) most applications, with few carefully re-architected applications.
Considering business agility, cost optimization, and ease of maintenance, the team suggested the client move the workloads to the Azure cloud environment. The re-architected applications leveraged native features of Azure.
By leveraging Azure services for compute, storage, network & security along with using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure, the client was able to accelerate the agility, governance, and cost benefits of their Azure investment.
Trigent cloud experts carried out a thorough assessment of client IT infrastructure, studied the environment, and prepared a detailed inventory list by considering the following factors:
The tech stack included VM, Blob, Active Directory, CDN, IAM, Functions, Web Apps, SQL server, and applications developed in .NET, C#, and IIS were leveraged for the seamless migration to Microsoft Azure.
Migration to Microsoft Azure enabled the client to scale its services quickly and cost-effectively. By leveraging Azure services the client accelerated the agility, governance, and cost benefits of their Azure investment.
