Business Intelligence & Reporting
Leverage your existing investment to address analytics and reporting.
SharePoint is the main visualization and publishing platform in Microsoft Business Intelligence stack. It brings together functionalities that address requirements of different user groups across the organization.
- For ad-hoc reports – SharePoint provides native integration with all office applications, thus facilitating publishing of excel reports seamlessly. All the advanced functionalities like power pivot, power views, etc provide for interactive data analysis.
- For operational reports – Operations reports with defined layout and aggregations can be built using SQL reporting services and published in SharePoint. SSRS permits drill through and conditional formatting which allows the user to focus on actionable data.
- For power users – SharePoint provides advanced visualization component called PerformancePoint services (PPS). It is used to create graphs, scorecards, data grids and bring them together as a dashboard. PPS provides interactivity, allowing users to drill down, filter and decompose data.
